E-Commerce Berlin EXPO 2019 | Recap

E-Commerce Berlin EXPO 2019 | Recap

Although the E-Commerce Berlin EXPO 2019 is already two years older than Net&Work, it was also convincing in its fourth edition.

More than 150 exhibitors distributed in two halls shows off on 20.02.2019 in the “STATION” Berlin. The location in the Kreuzberg district is truly innovative and impresses in the old style of a 19th century station building.

BE2019 Lounge

In the centre of the exhibitor areas a lounge for networking was set up which was gladly used by the public.

Around the exhibitor area there were several speaker corners with over 40 highly interesting speeches on topics such as "Custom packaging & unboxing experience", "Cross-border expansion for more e-sales - the game, the players, the success" and much more.

BE2019 ExhibSt

At the EXPO we found a very young and international English-speaking audience. The visitors were very curious and there were many start-ups and scale-ups to see.

The event was a good opportunity for us to make new contacts, to network and to present our product.

Conclusion

At the E-Commerce EXPO, we saw a strongly growing demand and interest in international shipping and especially in returns solutions. Letter mail is also still attractive for many. In the process, delivery times, reliable delivery and trackability were much more important to the retailers than shipping costs.

However, there is still the fear to ship to third countries or even to place on the Asian market. The issues of customs and returns are still major hurdles for many.

The next date for the E-Commerce Berlin EXPO has already been set.

February 13, 2020 – see you there.
